School board to consider number of approvals

Listed on the Amelia County School Board’s agenda for its Monday (June 13) meeting are a number of items to be approved.

Approvals include members to a Special Education Advisory committee, a Code of Conduct, four Title federal grants, an ISAEP grant, proposed 2022- 23 work schedules, cafeteria ala carte prices, an overnight trip to Virginia Tech, a middle school right of way agreement, parks and rec’s agreement for summer program transportation and approval of new, and updated policies, cross references and legal references.

The board will recognize ACHS Hall of Fame inductees and the Co-starters Generator program.

It will hear reports on the summer support program, tuition reimbursement regulation, facilities and finance updates and field trip, facility use and fundraising applications.

There will also be a special FY ’23 budget update.

Schools Superintendent Lori Harper will report on enrollment and ADM, discipline and the Virginia School Board Association’s Conference on Education and 2022 Annual Convention.

The school board meets in the high school auditorium beginning with a closed session at 5 p.m. The open session will immediately follow. The agenda may be amended at the beginning of the meeting.
