Saturday (Jan. 13) at 1 p.m. will be the third and final presentation in the “Preserving Your Family’s Treasures” series by the James L. Hamner Public Library. It will feature Kathy Garrett- Cox, curator and director of Historical Resources and Collections at the Maymont Historic Estate and Gardens in Richmond. Kathy will share her over 20 years of experience managing collections in historic house museums to share the best methods for storing, cleaning, and preserving your family’s treasured textiles, furniture, and objects. There will be time at the end for questions and discussion.

There is no fee or registration for this class. Whether or not you participated in the first two presentations of the series, be sure to join us for the final one. It will take place at the Amelia County Historic Society’s Jackson Building, located at 16501 Church Street in Amelia.
