March 5 - Contemporary Christian Concert featuring Crimson Flow and The Altar at 7 p.m. at Love Covenant Christian Church.

 

March 9 - Amelia County Food Pantry distributes commodity food to needy persons from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 21502 Patrick Henry Hwy. in Jetersville. For more information call Frank Worsham at 561-4650 or 561-5157.

 

March 13 - 5th Annual Nicholas Spencer Montague Memorial Scholarship Service and Fundraiser at 3 p.m. at Chester Grove Baptist Church.

 

March 14 - The Old Time Gospel Singers will perform at 3 p.m. at the Amelia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Admission is free.

March 17 - AARP - Amelia Chapter meets at 3:30 p.m. in the Russell Grove Building.

 

March 17 - The Harlem Ambassadors play against the Southside Pride coached by Dave Robbins, former head basketball coach of Virginia State University, at 7 p.m. at the Amelia County High School Gymnasium. Tickets are available from Cox and Company, Dick's Place and ACHS.

March 24 - AARP - Amelia Chapter bowls at Bowl America on Hull Street in Chesterfield. For more information call Brother Mxolisi at 561-1124.

 

March 27 - James L. Hamner Library's Annual Spring Banquet at 6 p.m. at the Amelia County Elementary School Cafetorium. Entertainment will feature local pianist/organist Demas Boudreaus of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Thirty Plus Praise Dancers. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the library or from any Board of Trustee member.

 

March 31 - AARP - Amelia Chapter Driver Training course from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Zion Hill Presbyterian Church. The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.

April 17 - Historical House Tour hosted by the Amelia County Historical Society. Tickets are $25 for all 6 houses or $5 per house. Box lunches are available for $10. Brochures and more information are available at the Amelia County Historical Library by calling 561-3180.
