The Amelia Bulletin Monitor is happy to print notices of events free of charge, subject to editing and certain conditions. All free notices appear on a space available basis.
Church Birth Engagement Wedding
Is for special church programs in Amelia and surrounding counties (not for regular services, unless there is a special speaker or program)
Must be typed on Church Letterhead and include the name and daytime phone number of the person submitting the article. Also may be emailed to bulletinnews@ameliamonitor.com or faxed to (804) 561-2065.
Must be received no later than NOON on Monday of the week it is to appear.
Free Notices will NOT appear more than two weeks prior to an event.
If this does
not meet your needs you are welcome to place an advertisement at a special
rate of $5.50 for organized area churches. Call us at (804) 561-3655, email
or visit our office for information or assistance with designing your ad.
Must be no more than one month from the time of birth.
Information in a free notice includes--name of child, parents, place of birth, time of birth, weight, height and grandparents.
Deadline is noon on Monday.
If you would like additional information included, a paid announcement may be placed and would appear just as you wish, including a photograph.
Must include a daytime phone number and name of person submitting information.
Engagements
Engagements may include the names of the
bride, groom and their parents; their schooling or place of employment and
wedding date.
Engagement announcements should be placed at least two weeks prior to the wedding.
Must include name and a daytime phone number of the person submitting the information.
Pictures of the bride or the bride and groom are accepted.
All photographs must be professionally printed (ie: a picture developed and printed at a business using professional type photographic paper). Photos DO NOT need to be black and white, clear color pictures are accepted.
Digital photos are accepted, however, we do not accept prints of digital pictures. These can be .jpg or .gif that are emailed as an attachment or brought to the newspaper on a floppy disk or CD. If using a disk or CD these must be IBM-compatible format.

The Monitor will publish a complete announcement free of charge, on a
